I had what I considered a near death experience. During that time, I decided that I did
not want to die without telling my story.

Were you concerned about what family, friends, and colleagues would think about the content of the book?

Absolutely but I believe my memoir will help more people than it will offend.

Why did you decide to self-publish?

Accepted Answer

As much as possible, I like to be in control of my destiny. Self-publishing allowed me to
control the narrative and distribution of my book, in a predetermined timeframe.

Do you have any regrets about writing this book or about some of the things that you felt you needed to do in-order to survive?

Accepted Answer

That’s a complicated question with an equally complicated answer. Yes, I have regrets
about some of the decisions I made but if I were placed in the same circumstances in an
alternate reality, I would probably make many of the same choices.
